EXCESSIVE SWEATING: ARMPIT BOTOX SURGERY IN TURKEY
Hyperhidrosis is the scientific name of excessive sweating. One of the most affected parts of the body by hyperhidrosis that can cause discomfort is the armpit. Those who suffer from it often isolate themselves and feel their safety in social and work spheres compromised. Botulinum toxin can be a solution to excessive sweating.
Sweating is a normal reaction of the body to self-regulation of temperature. The reasons for excessive sweating are not yet clear to science but it is certainly caused by a set of factors:
- Excessive innervation of the sweat glands,
- Emotional stress,
- Menopause,
- Hyperthyroidism.
To determine more precisely the causes of the specific hyperhidrosis, it is necessary to undergo a medical examination.
How does botox in the armpits work?
When we sweat, a chemical message is sent from the brain to the sweat glands, telling them to “turn on” the sweat. Botox effectively blocks the chemical message from the brain to the sweat glands, so that the message is not received by igniting the sweat. Over time, the nerve endings of the sweat glands will begin to recover, so that, from the 4th month onwards, very light sweating will occur. Once all the nerve endings have been regenerated, a new treatment will be needed to produce the same effect.
The technique is fast: in fact, the treatment requires less than ten minutes, it is carried out with very thin needles that penetrate superficially under the armpit, releasing the toxin. The treatment reaches its maximum effect a few days after the session, remaining stable for a period of about 8 months. There are no contraindications to the use of Botox, which is why the treatment can be repeated even twice a year and the patient can immediately return to their daily life.
