TUMMY TUCKS SURGERIES IN ISTANBUL TURKEY
Though every patient is different, the main goal of a tummy tuck is to provide a smoother, flatter stomach. But did you know that there are different versions of the popular procedure? Most patients require a standard tummy tuck, but some patients will require another type of tummy tuck such as an extended, circumferential or inverted-t.
A mini abdominoplasty is less invasive than the full version of the surgery. Typically, just one incision near the bikini line is necessary. This single incision provides access to the lower belly area, so that the underlying muscles can be tightened. Patients who are good candidates for this version of the procedure typically include those with a “trouble area” that is limited to the below the belly button. Recovery for the procedure is shorter and generally easier than a traditional full tummy tuck.
While the mini version can help some patients, the full version of the procedure is needed to achieve desirable results for most patients. It is more comprehensive and is ideal for patients who’d like to see significant improvement throughout the entire abdomen area. Patients who are unhappy with their belly button can also have that repaired during the surgery. Multiple incisions are made during this procedure so that more dramatic results can be obtained. Patients can usually expect two incisions — one at the belly button and a longer one along the lower abdomen.
A significant number of patients require other types of tummy tucks, which include the extended, circumferential, or inverted-t, also known as Fleur-de-lis. The inverted-t abdominoplasty results in an inverted “T” scar and is aimed at removing extra skin from top to bottom and from left to right. This procedure is typically recommended for patients who have undergone an extreme weight loss. The circumferential tummy tuck is also known as a body lift and the scar is along the torso and carried around almost all the way around the body. The extended tummy tuck tightens the muscles of the abdomen, the skin around the abdomen, and the flank and lateral thigh and it is suited for patients with love handles and fat rolls along the back. Scars from this procedure typically run around the waist. Visit the before and after gallery to view more tummy tuck photos.
